Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae

Staff members were very friendly and helpful . They spoke English very well. We had to change room during our stay. The move from one room to another room was very easy. The upgrade was free of charge. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. This hotel has a coined washer and dryer, garment steamer and irons and ironing boards.Reservation for taxi can be done at the hotel. We had a large group therefore we needed a jumbo taxi, the staff arranged for our ride. The breakfast was good . There were a variety of items from Korean soup, corn soup, japchae, fried rice, mapo tofu, scramble eggs, cereals,fruits, salad, crossaint etc. The location was very accessible to public transportation. It is less than a 5 minutes walk to a subway, bus or main road to hail a taxi. Also, the hotel is surrounded by convenient stores, restaurants,cafes, street food, street vendors, and shopping centers.The check-in and checkout process were very quick. We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel.

Gave early check-in. The comfort and lush. Big space for 2. Like the long side bench at window. Room is clean. Buffet breakfast is nice too. Prompt service and friendly staff. Quiet and relaxing. Convenient and near to transport. Shopping and restaurants right at doorstep. So easy to just bring shopping back and continue shopping again.

The Mercure was a great place to stay for first time travelers to Seoul. It is right off the subway and has several bus stops in the general vicinity. There’s countless restaurants and shops all around, so you can easily walk around Hongdae and not need to use public transportation or hire a taxi if you prefer to explore the neighborhood. I felt everything was close by and it was very lively, with food stalls a few blocks away. The staff was very friendly, spoke great English and were attentive with helping with all my needs. The rooms themselves were very stylish and sleek, and everything you’d come to expect from a modern city like Seoul. I can’t speak for their restaurant/cafe, since I did not eat there, but there is a convenience store right next door for a quick and easy snack. I actually wished I had stayed here longer, so if you choose to make The Mercure your home base for your trip, you won’t regret it!

Amazing staff, clean room, a tv where you can connect your phone with via Chromecast so you can watch Netflix even, very comfy bed and good location! Depending on the room you can see and hear buskers from the window The service/staff are super friendly and always greet you with a smile. You really feel so warm and welcomed. We once had a problem with the shower head and they fixed it immediately despite being late It has a laundry room to wasch you clothes (costs 4000 won) And the staff can speak English good! It has a small refrigerator and a big safe too. Tip: it's a bit hidden but you can "swipe" the "door" to the left between laboratory and bed and a big big mirror will appear :D (hope I could explain it)

Good location, near many bars and restaurants! Very comfortable bed! Has coin laundry in the basement as well as a gym which was very helpful! Great staff! They were very helpful throughout our stay!
